Rochester is the parish along the A68 to the Scottosh border at Carter Bar, north west from  Otterburn.
Besides the village of Rochester, the parish includes the settlements of Byrness, Ramshope and
Cottonshopeburnfoot, including the former Redesdale army base and
Redesdale Forest north of  Kielder, and south of the Cheviot Hills.
