This category leads to websites for localities within the unitary authority of Bath and North East Somerset.
Bath is the largest city within the ceremonial county of Somerset, and was part of the non-metropolitan county of Avon in 1974.
Then the city was no longer a county borough.  In 1996, with the abolition of the county of Avon, the city was combined
with neighbouring parishes to become the unitary authority district of Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES),
independent of Somerset County Council.
Recently B&NES has been combined with the two unitary authorities of Bristol and South Gloucestershire to be
named West of England Combined Authority (WECA), with its first mayor elected in 2017.
