The village of Coate is immediately west, Etchilhampton is to the south west, Patney is to the south,
Beechingstoke is to the south east, and Woodborough is to the east, separated by
the area of  Stanton St Bernard parish south of the canal.
Stanton St Bernard village is north of the canal, on the south slope of All Cannings Down, where Tan Hill is the
second highest hill in Wiltshire (294 metres above sea level, compared with 295 m for Milk Hill north east of Stanton St Bernard).
All Cannings village is on the south bank, which is connected via All Cannings Bridge to the north bank, and the
village of Allington, where websites are included here.  (not the  Allington  near Salisbury ).
