Bishops Cannings is a village east of the A361, north east of  Devizes, from  Avebury in the north east.
Bishops Cannings parish is in the Vale of Pewsey, with Roundway Hill to the north west,
featuring the Devizes Millennium White Horse, cut in 1999.
At the south of the parish, the Kennet and Avon Canal wind round the base of hills from  All Cannings in
the east, almost encirling the hamlet of Horton before entering Roundway parish north of Devizes.
Little Horton and Coate are within the parish to the south before Etchilhampton.
