Sackville is located near the New Brunswick/Nova Scotia border, on the Isthmus of Chignecto, on the Bay of Fundy side. It is approximately 1/2 hour drive east of Moncton, via the Trans-Canada Highway. The area has a rich history, dating back to the 18th century, as a strategic position in the struggle between France and Britain for control of the New World, and in the American Revolution. Sackville is the home of the highly-rated Mount Allison University.
