Pantla is a small rural community located in the Municipio of Zihuatanejo de Azueta in the State of Guerrero, at the foothills of the Sierra Madre del Sur near the coast of the Pacific Ocean. The Río Pantla provides drinking water for much of the region, and a large coconut plantation divides the coast from the main part of the community. Many luxury vacation homes belonging to Mexico's elite are located along the beach and coastal area.
