Big Sur is situated in California's central coast, north of San Luis Obispo, south of the Monterey Peninsula and located on the Pacific coast. The area is known for its dramatic and spectacular ocean coastline views. Also, the area contains three million acres of wilderness in the Las Padres National Forest.
