Acton is a town in Middlesex County, Massachusetts. It is a suburban community located 25 miles northwest of Boston which was incorporated as a town in 1735. It is bordered by Carlisle and Concord on the east, Westford and Littleton on the north, Sudbury on the south, Maynard and Stow on the southwest, and Boxborough on the west. Its total land area is 20.29 square miles and population is approximately 18,000.
