Bridgewater is a town located in Plymouth County, Massachusetts. It was first settled in 1650 and was officially incorporated in 1656 and is the home to Bridgewater State College.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 73.1 km² (28.2 mi²). 71.2 km² (27.5 mi²) of it is land and 1.9 km² (0.7 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 2.62% water.
