Camden County is located in the western section of New Jersey. It is bordered by three counties on three sides (Burlington County to the northeast, Atlantic County to the southeast, and Gloucester County to the southwest) and by the Delaware River to the northwest. The area of Camden County is 228 square miles, and at the 2000 census the population was 508,932.
