Leonia is located in the southeast section of Bergen County. It is bounded on the north by Englewood, on the west by Teaneck, on the south by Palisades Park and on the east by Fort Lee.
The area of Leonia is 1.2 square miles and at the 1990 census, the population was 8,365.
Leonia is considered to belong to the New York City Metro area.
