Bridgewater is a town located in Windsor County, Vermont. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 980. Bridgewater contains the hamlets of Bridgewater Village, Bridgewater Corners, West Bridgewater, and Bridgewater Center (formerly called Briggs). Bridgewater was the birthplace of Zadoe Thompson, naturalist and identifier of the whale bones found by railroad workers near Charlotte, Vermont. [From Wikipedia]
