Kitsap County covers most of the scenic Kitsap Peninsula, six miles west of Seattle across Puget Sound. It is a bustling community of about 230,000 people who enjoy a green, beautiful spot at the foot of the Olympic Mountains, surrounded by some 283 miles of salt water front in the form of numerous bays and inlets, Puget Sound, Hood Canal and the Strait of Juan de Fuca.
