Pidgin is an creole language predominantly influenced by Hawaiian grammar, and vocabulary from the languages of various cultures that migrated to Hawai`i including English, Japanese and of course, `Olelo Hawai`i. In linguistic research, Pidgin is generally referred to as Hawai`i Creole English or HCE.
