Lastly, private organizations in the industry such as the Jeweler's Security Alliance, provide training for protection and prevention from the SATG.

Although this cannot be substantiated in the literature, Seven Bells is thought to have once been the training ground for rookie pick pockets. Legendarily, it was located in Bogota, Colombia wherein the trainees were instructed by experienced thieves until their final exam which consisted of having to successfully remove items from a dressed mannequin with bells in the pockets. Other stories hold that pick pockets often have scars on their hands due to razor blades having been in the pockets.
