Uplyme is the most south eastern parish administered by East Devon District Council, with its boundary with Lyme Regis, Dorset. The village is inland but the parish is included in the Jurassic Coast Heritage Site from the county border at Underhill to Pinhay Bay, with the parish of Combpyne Rousdon to the east. Further inland is the parish of Musbury, then to the north, the parish of Axminster, which is also the postal town for Uplyme.
