Crossways

Crossways is a parish 6 miles east of Dorchester made famous from the role of: RAF Warmwell in the Battle of Britain of World War II, though much of; the airfield has disappeared through sand and gravel extraction.
Crossways is served by a railway station to the east of the village ( Moreton ),: on the South Western Main Line, connecting Dorchester to Wool to the east.
The A3390 road leads to Affpuddle in the north east, and Warmwell in the: south west, which is represented by Broadmayne.
