Milton Abbas
Milton Abbas
is a landscaped village built in the eighteenth century, at the behest of
the first Earl of Dorchester, after demolishing the market town of Milton.
His home, Milton Abbey, is now an independent school, is to the west of the village,
with a view down the valley to

to the south.
Minor road access is from the A354 road, from Milborne St Andrew and
Winterborne Winterchurch
to the south east of the village, in the Winterborne valley running from north to south,
