Milton Abbas

Milton Abbas is a landscaped village built in the eighteenth century, at the behest of: the first Earl of Dorchester, after demolishing the market town of Milton.
His home, Milton Abbey, is now an independent school, is to the west of the village,: with a view down the valley to Milborne St Andrew to the south.
Minor road access is from the A354 road, from Milborne St Andrew and Winterborne Winterchurch: to the south east of the village, in the Winterborne valley running from north to south,; east of Milton Abbas is represented by Winterborne Stickland, the next parish directly east,; with Winterborne Houghton directly north east, and Hilton directly north west.
