- originally the site of a first century Roman aqueduct.
- Bradford Peverell parish extends from the Poundbury area of Dorchester, and includes the A37 ring road before
- crossing the Frome at Charminster east of the parish.
- The railway line from Dorchester passes within the north parish boundary before crossing the Frome, north in to Stratton.
- Muckleford is a hamlet south of a bridge over the Frome, before the parish of Frampton to the west.
- Martinstown is across the southern parish boundary.
