Bridport, an Anglo-Saxon town made famous by its rope making, is the largest town in  West Dorset.
This category leads to websites about the surrounding parish, through which flows the River Brit
from  Beaminster via  Netherbury from the north.
Bradpole to the east of the Brit, continues the conurbation along the A3066 road north east of the town.
South of the town, the west of the River Brit is in  Symondsbury parish.
