This category represents the most northerly town in Dorset, on the River Stour, south of  Bourton and Silton.
Gillingham parish includes Milton on Stour north of the town, and extends west to the county boundary
with  South Somerset at Cucklington.
Gillingham has a railway station, and the line from  Tisbury, enters Dorest north of  Motcombe and
leaves Dorset at  Buckhorn Weston before  Sherborne further south west.
