- Lydlinch is a village in North Dorset on the A357 road west of Sturminster Newton,
- on the west bank of the River Lydden.
- The parish of Lydlinch extends from Caudle Brook, south to King's Stag in Blackmore Vale.
- The North Dorset parish neighbours are Pulham directly south, Hazelbury Bryan to the south east,
- Fifehead Neville directly east, south of Sturminster Newton and Stalbridge is immediately north west of the A357.
- Off the A357 west of the village, the A3030 leads across the boundary into West Dorset at Bishop's Caudwell and
- south of this, Holwell is accessed from King's Stag.
