The county stretches from the North West outskirts of London, served by the Metropolitan line, with tube stations terminating at  Chesham
in the rural hills of the Chilterns, spreading westward to  Oxfordshire and northwards to Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire
Bucks is included in the Region of South East of England.
The principle town is  Buckingham, although in terms of population, the traditional market town of  Aylesbury and
the new city of  Milton Keynes are larger.
Milton Keynes, now as a Unitary Authority, is independent of the county council, but the remainder of Bucks
is administered by Buckinghamshire Council, before 2020 as District Councils, now referred to as Areas:
  Aylesbury ValeChilternSouth Bucks and  Wycombe.
