This category leads to websites for one of the smallest ceremonial counties in England,
famous for its artificial lake, Rutland Water.
Rutland has Unitary authority status, and has the lowest population of these; approaching 40,000 in 2019.
Rutland is nestled to the east of the  South Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, served by the A1 trunk road from Northamptonshire,
and Eastern England from the south, past Leicestershire on the north to western boundary.
The A606, runs along the north shore of Rutland Water, by-passing the county town of  Oakham,
then serving Melton Mowbray to the north west.
The A6003 runs south from Oakham through the county to Corby, and is crossed at Uppingham by the A47 taking traffic westwards to Leicester.

Please note that there are sub-topics for the major categories which are shown by clicking the dark "Christmas tree" right of the Rutland heading.
The sub-topics are shown in their localities, by clicking   .
If this is grey, then clicking restores the view with localities at the top.
